DUDE, YOU NEED TO CALM DOWN

From now on, I'm going to post the day after about the day before , if that makes any sense at all. Basically, if you watch the SacconeJoly's they post videos of the day before, the day after so they get the whole day in the video. So basically, today's post will be about yesterday, tomorrow's post will be about today etcetera etcetera.

So yesterday I woke up at 12, my usual time for the summer holidays (my last summer holidays :'( ) and sat in the living room for about half an hour. I then spent another half hour doing f*ck all. It was at 12:15 that I realised I should probably get ready as I was supposed to be leaving to go to C's at 12:30. In those 15 minutes, weirdly enough I managed to get dressed, wash my face, clean my teeth and straighten my hair and then also leave for his.

On the way I popped into a few shops and bought some Beef Jerky (to die for), Fizzy Laces, Kinder Bars, Magic Stars (again to die for) Pringlesand Haribo Roulettes. I text C most of the time saying "do you want me to get you anything from the shop?" and he usually texts back no but I think he does that because he knows that I'm gonna buy stuff anyway..

So I got all that and went to his and we watched The Longest Yard and while watching it he was going mental. He was rolling around and biting me and laying on top of me and I think he was high on sugar but OMG he was so annoying. But it was funny too haha. So I made him go for a walk with me to calm him down (hence the title.) We went to the shop again and bought Two Ciabatta loaves (cause I love bread)and walked back to his where we decided along with his brother to play Scene It or something we could all play.

We decided to have a go at Kinect Sports and moved everything down to "The Den". They have this little cool den down at the end of his garden so we moved the Xbox down there and it turns out the remote from the tv didn't work. So we had to move everything back inside and looked on the Store for some games and we decided to get F1 Race Stars.

We played that for a good while before stopping and guess whose the best racer? ME! Me and C then went back to his room afterwards and watched Looney Tunes Back In Action cause who doesn't love the Looney Tunes? After that finished he walked me home and he told me how nerdy people could be on FIFA. Turns out he isn't as big of a nerd as he could be, but he's still a pretty big one haha!

THE ONE TIME I TOLD A HUGE LIE AND KINDA GOT AWAY WITH IT

To be honest, I'm not much of a liar, I can't lie. The corner of my lip twitches, or I laugh, or I can't keep eye contact with the person I'm lying to. So whats the point in lying when I can't get away with it? Due to this, I'm going to tell you a lie I told when I was in like, year 2 maybe. So I was about 6?

Anyway, in my primary school, the teachers did this thing were if you needed the toilet, you moved your name from a board onto the toilet space so they knew where they were and if another kid could go or not. This one time I needed the toilet and being the impatient person I am, I went to ask the teacher if I could go the toilet. They looked at the board and saw that another girl was there so they said no and I went away in a huff..

I then came up with this plan which was to move the girls name off of the board even though she wasn't back and ask again. So I did it and then went to ask again and as the teacher looked at the board, they saw there was no name so they said yes. I put my name on the toilet spot and went. Now when I got back, the teacher pulled me aside and started having a go at me because I went to the toilet the same time as somebody else. I mean, how could you shout at me for needing the toilet? Geez.

Anyway, our school had this system that if you were good all week and had no "consequences" you got a little certificate at the end of the week saying well done. (I got 2 consequences throughout my whole time at primary.) The teacher gave me a consequence and wrote my name on the board, I can't remember if i cried or not, I probably did..

At the end of the week, everyone who had no consequences got their certificates and there was me with no certificate. When my mum and dad picked me up, they were like "where's your certificate?" and I just said, "I put it in my bag already.." (ANOTHER LIE!?) and walked to the car with them.

I know its not a huge lie and now I just laugh at it, but at the time I probably cried and felt really bad about lying to my mum and dad, cause I was pretty much a nerd and loved being the teachers pet.. :S

FACT FRIDAY #2

It's Friday again and I've never been happier about it being a Friday in my life. Anyway, like I said last Thursday or Friday, every Friday was now going to be Fact Friday! (Stupid, I know right) But I was reading something before I started this blog and it said something about having a sort of schedule when it comes to blogs and vlogs. Something like Throwback Thursday on twitter, and this was the first thing I could think of. Anyway, the fact I found for today was;

"Dr. Seuss coined the word nerd in his 1950 book 'If I Ran The Zoo'"

I found this interesting because a few of the older authors, like Shakespeare, JRR Tolkien and now Dr. Seuss have all created words or other materials for their books. Dr. Seuss shocked me though because for Shakespeare and Tolkien, it is more understandable for them to make up words. I mean, Tolkien wrote about elves, dwarves, dragons etc all while he was fighting in the war.

Because I know Dr. Seuss as a child's writer (The Cat in The Hat, The Lorax, etc) making up words would be slightly pointless as children don't really understand many words to begin with, never mind made up ones.

Another reason this interested me was because I honestly class myself as a nerd or a dork or something because of how many slightly weird and childish things I like, such as Marvel, Pokemon and computers. To find out that a word I describe myself as was made up by one of the most creative men of all time in my opinion just makes me like the word even more. It's brilliant!
